Páter Apartments stands on Aranypart directly opposite Nagystrand Beach — the beach is straight across the road — so most of what follows is within walking distance. This list is aimed especially at groups of friends or families looking for a more active, lively Balaton holiday.

Right on the doorstep

Water Tower The town's landmark, right in the centre. The viewing platform looks out over the lake and the rooftops; open daily through the summer season. Nagystrand Beach Straight across the road: out of the gate, over the street, and you are there. The town's main beach, running along Petőfi sétány. SzínPart – Kálmán Imre Open-Air Stage In Jókai park, seating 1,576 — one of the largest open-air stages on Lake Balaton. Theatre, operetta, concerts and dance productions all summer. Rose Garden Six thousand rose bushes beside the harbour, with a pergola restored in 2022. The fountain throws a twelve-metre arc of water out over the lake — you can walk underneath it. The Pier The harbour promenade, where the scheduled ferries and sightseeing boats leave from. Sztronszkij's gilded angel stands at its eastern end; the pier itself is walkable year-round. Siófok Ferris Wheel On Petőfi sétány, a one-off build and by now one of the lake's familiar silhouettes. Opening depends on the weather, so it is worth checking before you set off. DetActive detective game A detective game played on foot around the town centre, solving clues as you go. Hybrid format, playable any day of the year, at your own pace. Balaton boat trips (BAHART) Scheduled crossings and sightseeing cruises from Siófok harbour. The season runs from Easter to late October; the timetable search is on the official site. Lulu Adventure Park A family activity park at Siófok-Töreki: go-kart track, archery, airsoft, axe throwing and a petting corner. Open daily in the summer season, except Wednesdays.

Good to know

Nagystrand Beach is directly across the street; the promenade is a short walk. Plázs is a separate beach, three minutes on foot.
Promenade restaurants and bars fill up fast on summer weekends — groups should book a table in advance.
Boat trips and bike rentals are best booked ahead of time in season.
